PROJECT:

In collaboration with
Teatro La Máscara (Colombia)

Flowing through the turbulent history and geography of the river Cauca in Colombia, KAUKA carries us along the river’s current and into our own inner waters. Weaving origins, shared memories and territories, the performance reflects on life and death as part of a natural cycle—one too often violently disrupted. And yet, KAUKA opens space for hope, inviting us to imagine other possible worlds.
Inspired by conversations with indigenous, Afro-Colombian and Campesinos communities, KAUKA is a confluence between Teatro La Máscara and Ephemeral Ensemble
