Ramon Ayres

Ramon Ayres (Brazil) is a Actor, Director and Mime, who started working with theatre at a young age. He performed with various companies, exploring skills in site specific and immersive theatre, classical and contemporary plays, devising and physical theatre. He graduated in theatre from University of Sorocaba, Brazil and in physical theatre from The International School of Corporeal Mime, London. He was selected to experience the devising process of the acclaimed performance “The Encounter”, as part of Theatre Complicite's project: Adapting the Encounter, led by Kirsty Housley. He had an artistic residency at Grotowski Institute, mentored by Eugenio Barba.

He performed with the physical theatre company Theatre de l’Ange Fou touring with the them in the U.S. He performed in the physical theatre performance 300 el x 50 el x 30 el by FC Bergman at Barbican. Ramon also performed with the Fringe First award company Reetta Honkakoski. He co-directed the physical theatre piece “The Unparalleled Adventure of One Hans Pfall” that went on tour in the UK, Italy, India and South Korea.

He is regularly leading Corporeal Mime and Devising workshops in the UK and internationally, places such as Icelandic Academy of the Arts and East15. He is a regular Corporeal Mime practitioner of Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company. 

    Ramon is Artistic Director of Ephemeral Ensemble.
